Metal framing and plasterboard was used to provide lateral stability to a building. The form of construction was later deemed to be unsuitable and extensive remedial works had to be carried out.

Concrete system buildings - need for period inspection
Evidence of corrosion of tendons in post-tensioned components came to light which was associated with exposure of tendons to moisture in voids in ducts and sometimes also the presence of chlorides.

Tower crane base designs
A reporter’s firm has been involved in the design and checking of numerous tower crane bases and have come across many examples where the supplier of the tower crane has supplied incorrect loadings. These incorrect loadings could have led to crane failures had the errors not been spotted.
